Indentation changes after introducing the ATLAS THREAD SAFETY checker

This was something that I postponed while doing !23505 (merged) !23560 (merged) !23565 (merged) !23568 (merged) so as not overload the shifters between makinf the code easier to read and the actual issues.

This now is just making the code a bit more readable in preparation for any furhter fixes.

For some of this files (happens for the ones not touched for years) I see some ^M newline separators in vim which get removed.
