Hi,

these protections are needed to avoid a hard crash when trying to run digitisation on the latest BIS78 muon layouts MuonSpectrometer-R.09.02 and MuonSpectrometer-R.09.02.Asym. Of course, the 2 issues need to be addressed by proper fixes, but for now, these protections allow other users of these layouts to continue their studies.
