fix support for dl1d

Ilaria Luise requested to merge iluise/athena:iluise-fix-DL1d into 22.0

forgot to check the support for DL1d. fixed now.
fixing this (!58788 (merged)) MR so adding it to R22.0 as well, if not it crashes when used on DL1d. \
