Draft: change the preselection tagger

Mostly an example for @tmadula, similar to !63500 (closed) but this one seems to change the counts for the chains that use GN1 in preselection. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that we'd need (i.e. saving the correct variables) but it shows this works.
