Now that I could finally have a look at the build error in !625 (merged), I finally saw that the build is now failing because of Simage. Which reminded me that we did indeed have to fix the build of this external for CentOS 7 a long-long time ago. In !72 (merged).

So I just cherry-picked that MR/commit by hand, as it couldn't be auto-cherry-picked anymore. (The code looked very different 2 years ago...)

Hopefully this will build correctly in the CI, and then !625 (merged) should start working as well. 🤞
