macOS Catalina Fixes, master branch (2020.03.11.)

This is a hand-made cherry-pick of !557 (merged). (I had to tweak the Lhapdf patch a bit to account for the "Python changes" in master.) @krumnack reminded me that I never fully migrated the Catalina fixes from the 1.0 branch into master. 😦

Nils, once this is in, you should hopefully be able to build AnalysisBaseExternals yourself as well. 😉
