Json SFs correlated systematics
I was wondering something in the case that a json SF contains a systematic that is to be correlated with another systematic (e.g. JES, theory, ...).
Let's say the SF has two uncertainties, "jes" and "stat": "jes" is to be correlated with the "jesTotal" jet variations in bamboo, while "stat" is to become the actual "btag" uncertainty. I think the SF should be called as:
get_correction(..., systName=None,
systVariations={"jesTotalup": "jes_up", "jesTotaldown": "jes_down", "btagup": "stat_up", "btagdown": "stat_down"})
However, here this would not work because systName
is not defined. But systName
should be None
here, since otherwise this would prevent the correlation with the jesTotal
uncertainty, right?
