Implement RPC methods to retrieve hardware UID
Summary
To check that the hardware description files (added in !134 (merged)) match the hardware, one must be able to retrieve the UID from the hardware itself. Therefore, RPC methods must exist to gather this information from as many components as possible.
What is the expected correct behavior?
RPC methods exist to retrieve the component's UIDs directly from the hardware.
Possible fixes
As example, the VFAT chip ID can be retrieve from the front-end with through the following RPC method gem::hardware::vfat3::getVFAT3ChipIDs
.
Other methods should be added to retrieve the CTP7 bird name and the OptoHybrid FPGA DNA. The GBTx serial number will follow later when the feature will be available in hardware.
For simplification purposes, one MR is expected per compopent.
