Comments from JDM subgroup conveners
Thanks for your draft slides, to which these are comments from the JDM subgroup.
- General : Your plots/graphs are very small throughout. This can really pose an issue for the audience and is highly dependent on the quality of the presentation venue. We make a few concrete suggestions, but it would be good to review where you can split slides and/or move content to the backup in favor of increasing the size.
-
slide 8 : the plots on the right are very very small. It may be worth thinking about splitting this into two slides and only showing on flavor channel with the other in the backup. That way you can make the entire right slide be a single plot. If someone is curious, they’ll ask about the other channel, and you can show it. -
slide 10 : are these plots pre-fit? If so, it may be good stating that or be prepared for someone to ask why the data/MC agreement is horrible. Perhaps the plots on the next slide address this just fine. -
slide 11 : Again, so many plots on one slide makes them start to get really small when on a projector. Consider splitting this into two slides. -
slide 12 : Typo in the slide title “Djiet” → “Dijet” -
slide 13, right-hand side, the public plot refers to the fiducial cross-section - https://atlas.web.cern.ch/Atlas/GROUPS/PHYSICS/PAPERS/EXOT-2019-03/fig_09.png -
slide 16: Maybe you can include the results of the dijet search to some small extent also on the conclusion slide.
Best Regards, enjoy the conference.
