Slides preparation for Jess

  • As discussed, one last plot that would be nice to see is the invariant mass of the top and b-quark with higher pt in the event (plus their angular correlations as you do already for bbbar and ttbar)
  • Slide 2, after (ii) pp→b ̄bH,H→tt ̄ add one more sub-bullet with the charged Higgs signal tbH^{\pm}, H^{\pm}\rightarrowtbtb
  • Please add the tan beta point you used in the generation - in param card
  • After slide 2 add a general overview of the issue, you can get some inspiration from this config-note https://atlas.web.cern.ch/Atlas/GROUPS/PHYSICS/CONFNOTES/ATLAS-CONF-2016-073/ and from some historical theory paper, like https://arxiv.org/pdf/hep-ph/9404359.pdf .
  • Slides 3-6 , I'll give you a few plots, including the cross sections for charged H
  • I like slide 8, I just suggest to convert the cross section units in pico-barn; plus "Interference" better to use Signal+Background+Interference (you might want to consider to use a shortcut like S+B+I (just define it once) )
  • I suggest to move in backup all truth1 related material. Including the cut flow. But before starting with the presentation of the relevant truth 1 plots with can mention and write down in a slide that you have a set of truth 0 plots done without cuts plus truth 1 plots. I'd move in backup also the truth 0 plots from slide 13 to 20. You can mention that you have them in backup (along with the mention of the truth 1 plots)
  • The main content of the talk is the information on the truth 0 plots. In all of them I suggest to change "Interference" to "S+B+I"
  • On your slide 31. Did you check the actual value of the Higgs boson mass for the SM? I guess it is 125 GeV, but please check
  • Still on slide 31, the second plot on the left. In that plot the Higgs boson that enters are all heavy Higgses in 2HDM. Could you please check print their PDGID?
  • Then would be great if you could make a ttbar , bbbar and top-bottom invariant mass plot if those pair comes from a Higgs decay. *Based on what you will get we can discuss the conclusions and next steps.
