Safeguard Diphoton lines with E19 max cut

I updated the diphoton HLT1 lines with the following requirements:

  • cut E19<1.0 on both photons to reduce impact of noisy ECAL cells (photons should have some transverse component and therefore don't peak at 1. I validated with Run 2 simulation that the bulk of the E19 distribution for signal is between 0.5 and 0.9)
  • relax min E19 cut from 0.7 to 0.5. This should be possible since the track match and brem match veto is applied now, thanks to developments by @lmeyerga.

@pheinnog demonstrated on pi0 from '24 PbPb data that the cuts are rather safe E19splot.pdf
