Improved code style for fiber cross talk implementation

Requested improvements implemented. I also changed Julian's methods to start with lower case and replaced push_back with the more modern emplace_back in my methods.

I did not manage to push to the previous branch as the push was failing because it told me to merge before pushing again. So I pushed to a new branch and opened a new merge request. If you prefer to use the old branch please let me know how to do.
