LHCBGAUSS-869: Fixed Python Issue 'Deletion of Interned String Failed' (Sim09)

This is the Sim09 version of the test fix which removes the need to force return success for the test to pass LHCbPR due to the critical python error Interned String Failed. This 'bodge' has now been removed thanks to help from @nfarley.

This Merge Should be Made to Sim09 ONLY
