Draft: workarounds to allow aarch64 builds of Gauss sim10 against LCG102b

These are WIP (and yet incomplete) workarounds to allow aarch64 builds of Gauss againt LCG102b, using sim10 (in particular, in LHCb).

This replaces !914 (closed) which was using LHCb master, and which I will close.
