Why was this merged in Sim10? I don't remember discussing this... and there isn't a full validation for it just for the bug fix we deployed as a patch as far as I know...

If this is for some reason a problem and we do not want to make an LHCb G4 release based on v10.5.0 I can easily roll this merge back, I have not yet made a release build and requested its release. Are we planning to skip this version of G4?

Indeed that is the reason. I would leave it for making nightly tests but not do an official release unless we need it because it may very well be based on a different LCG. I would not have a problem if this was not in the 'Sim10' branch... so for now leave the Merge and we will roll it back only if we need to do so.
