To be merged only after !2101 (merged)

lines for the following processes:

B^+ \rightarrow K^+ \; \ell \ell
B^+ \rightarrow \pi^+  \; \ell \ell
B^+ \rightarrow K^{*+} ( \rightarrow \pi^0 K^+)  \; \ell \ell
B^0 \rightarrow \phi ( \rightarrow K^- K^+)  \; \ell \ell
B^0 \rightarrow \rho ( \rightarrow \pi^+\pi^-)  \; \ell \ell
B^0 \rightarrow K^{*0} ( \rightarrow \pi^- K^+)  \; \ell \ell
B^+ \rightarrow K_2 ( \rightarrow K^+ K^- K^+)  \; \ell \ell
B^+ \rightarrow K_1 ( \rightarrow K^+ \pi^- \pi^+) \; \ell \ell

Note:

  • For K+ pi0, only doing resolved pi0s in this MR.
  • includes SFOS (same flavour opposite sign) and SFSS (same flavour same sign) dileptons for electrons and muons:
\ell \ell = e^+ e^- ,  \; e^+ e^+ , \;  \mu^+ \mu^- , \; \mu^+ \mu^+

optimisation study

done by performing 1D scans over many of the variables defining a line

performed study for Kee, Kmumu, piee. pdfs with rate and eff plots given below ( grey is nominal value I then moved parameters one at a time from ). Optimisation is crude, I simply look at the 1D plots and choose a selection for each variable that looks effecient and kills rate effectively, and then verify this selection by running over simulations ( minbias and respective signal ).
