Improve standard T track builders based off of early 2024 data
Implements improvements to standard T track builders based on early 2024 data
Remove the pseudorapidty cuts for T track builders, since the angular acceptance changes as a function of z, and it is evaluated at the first measurement, possibly several metres from the decay. The previous cuts cause a loss of efficiency. The previous cuts were rejecting as much as 30% of signal pions from Lambdas
The following plot for (unfitted) signal pions from Lb2JpsiLambda and Bd2JpsiKS0 decaying in the magnet region, compared with background.
In addition momentum cuts on the pions are tightened, ghost probability cut applied and PID_P cut applied to LambdaTT combiner based on studies from early 2024 data.
These changes should not have an impact on throughput.
And from the first test should not have an impact on BW.
In !3676 (merged) it is shown to have a very positive effect on rates.
