[Charm] BW reduction of doubly charmed baryon lines Sep 2024
Reduce BW of doubly charmed baryon lines with hadronic final states by:
- Add prescale of 10% for wrong-sign and doubly Cabbibo suppressed lines used for background study
- Add hlt1 filter, which has an efficiency above 90% (checked with early 2024 data)
- Switch off
PersistReco
for a few lines, keeping only 1PersistReco
line (Xicc++->LcKpipi) - Reduce mass sideband of intermediate charmed hadron by 15%
- Tighten IPCHI2 cut to 1 for bachelors from Xicc+ decays, except for Xicc+->LcKpi
- Tighten IPCHI2 cut to 2 for bachelors from Xicc++ decays
- Tune IPCHI2 cut on daughters of intermediate charmed baryons according the lifetime order of tau(Xic0)<tau(Lc)<tau(Omegac)<tau(Xic+)
BW tested on real 2024 data with the snippet from @rjhunter, running on ccbaryon_hadronic
and cbaryon_spectroscopy
modules (considered to be independent of other modules) and over 130K events. BW reduced from 237 MB/s to 94 MB/s, by 143 MB/s or 60%.
Mitigate #840.
