New hyperon sigma velo track line

This is an experimental line that we are testing to save \Sigma^+ \to p ~\rm invisible decays that are produced via the \Lambda_c^+ \to \Sigma^+ \pi^+ \pi^- process.

The overall logic is as follows:

  • Create 'Sigma' particles from velo tracks
  • Cut on the DOCA of the sigma velo track and a downstream proton to find the Sigma decay vertex
  • Create a \pi^+\pi^- pair and cut on the corrected mass, assuming the missing particle has the \Sigma^+ mass
  • Vertex the sigma from the decay vertex with the \pi^+\pi^- to form a \Lambda_c^+ particle.
  • Save the raw banks to allow reprocessing offline

Testing results with just hyperon module:

  • Rate: (6/100,000) * 1290kHz = 77.4 Hz
Bandwidth
Without line 1290 * 4.5 / 100,000 = 58.05 (MB/s)
With line 1290 * 4.9 / 100,000 = 63.21 (MB/s)
Difference +5.16 (MB/s)
