BnoC Tune KstzKstzb line
The bandwidth of the BnoC HLT2 line BdsToKstzKstzb is the highest in the BnoC working group so this MR aims to tune some of the cuts to reduce the bandwidth.
From a local test, the bandwidth reduced by approximately a factor 6, from 27MB/s to 4.6MB/s.
The rate also changed by a factor 5, from about 200 Hz to about 40 Hz (15 events to 3 per 100 000) so I think the reduction in bandwidth comes from a reduction in rate rather than event size.
The changes to the cuts are inspired by the RhoKst line:
- Tightening the cut on
mipchi2_minof the Kstar from>20to>36 - Tightening the PID cuts, the kaons from
PIDK>-5toPIDK>-3and the pions fromPIDK<5toPIDK<2 - Tightening the
asumpt_mincut on the B-meson from>4000MeV to>5000MeV
I performed a bandwidth test locally using this snippet: https://gitlab.cern.ch/-/snippets/3532 with 100 000 events.
I quickly checked the efficiency of the cuts on some Run 3 signal MC and they are about 90% efficient.
