Moved to new counters

Sebastien Ponce requested to merge sponce_moveToNewCounters into master

Note that only "easy" cases were moved, that is cases where the counter name is known at compile time. the other ones need to be sorted out by the code maintainers.

This replaces MR !272 (closed)

Note that this merge request may creates errors in some tests at the counter levels, as the output of new counters is cleaned up. So some reference files may have to be adapted. However, the Phys tests do pass.

@erodrigu I leave you to unWIP when you want to try it.
