This should work for configuring the AlertManager! But I wonder, could the AlertManagerConfigs CRD be leveraged?

The caller will use approach #1 described in https://prometheus-operator.dev/docs/developer/alerting/ to deploy the alerting rules, however we'll move this patch forward anyway as somebody in the future might want to mount other stuff like the CERN CA certificate. Ready to be reviewed.
