Asynchronous getParam with Header
Hi :-)
Today I saw that pyjapc offers the possibility to asynchronously get parameter values by passing a callback function (similar to subscriptions).
However it seems to be impossible to get the parameter header this way since the return value is casted down into a primitive Python data type before ever reaching the call back function.
Do you know of any workaround to this, or are these limitations on the Java side of JAPC? I don't really know how to debug across the Python/Java boundary, therefore it is tricky to see where exactly the problem is.
If there is currently no fix for this, I would probably want to make a getParam request from a different thread. Is that a terrible idea, or can the PyJapc object deal with being shared across threads?
