src/MergeHijingParsTool.cxx: updates to allow copying of the HijingEventParams object from background as well as signal StoreGates. src/MergeMcEventCollTool.h, src/MergeMcEventCollTool.cxx - add saveHeavyIonInfo method to try to ensure that GenEvent::heavy_ion is filled for the first event in the McEventCollection in heavy ion jobs.
