fix cpu bypass

Description of bug

When using the -u option, the logParser doesn't actually print CPU-related information and hence there's nothing to grep for. This is introducing an additional check to ignore the corresponding print blocks if this option is used.

Additionally, git checkout -b branchName does not throw in case there are local clashes, it just aborts by returning a non-zero exit code. I've removed the throw-catch block and check the return code instead to ensure the script actually stops in that case.
