Fix gettid system call number

Added thread to check for a partition. If state of partition changes, adapt the ERS logging handlers.

Add the possibility to extend at run time the PYTHON_PATH
(i.e. module search path)

a python class

-- Check the validity of helper files coming from a previously running script
