This MR is the result of studies done together with David Clark (ANL SULI) where we found that by ommitting to call LoadTree() for branch reads on previous entries, cache thrashing can be avoided/limited.

The input file used for the ATN tests went away.  Switch to one that exists.
Update reference files.
