BnoC spruce lines targeting the 2024 End of Year re-sprucing will be merged here, before the collective merge into 2024-patches .

Summary

Total of 38 new sprucing lines added here. Additionally, one line requests new isolation information. The set of ButToKShhh sprucing lines selections are tightened here.

Expected total bandwidth for additional lines~ +1 MB/s. Expect reduction in bandwidth with !3686 (merged) so overall a net reduction is expected with these changes. This estimate is from local tests using /eos/lhcb/wg/dpa/wp1/data/EoY-spruce-2024/ samples, using this script: https://gitlab.cern.ch/-/snippets/3293

MRs

  • !3686 (merged) - Tighten selections of BuToKShhh sprucing lines.
    • Switch to BnoC KS builders (previously used were B2OCs)
    • Tighter pt, pid (previously none) cuts on pions & kaons, ipchi2 cuts also tightened for pions (soft pions->tight pions)
    • Expect ~ 0.05 GB/s reduction in bandwidth
  • !2941 (merged) - Addition of new pi0 sprucing lines. Total of 30 lines.
